The next Post Of The Week will be announced on Sunday evening.
Please note that nominations for next week cannot be accepted until then.

1 A Beautiful Revolution: And I wait for you

I sit on this wall…

2. Box Elder: Foals

“They’re back!” I exclaimed. However, I learned that only one was from the original pair, the other, her mother, had died suddenly. A horse should not be alone, he said, they pine (s’ennuyer ), so he had bought another mare in foal to keep her company.

3. David Belbin: Leaving Led Zeppelin

I like the Arctic Monkeys a lot, if not obsessively. I was going as the plus one of my oldest mate, Mike, who is reviewing it for the Sheffield Star, so I wasn’t depriving a ‘real fan’ of a ticket. I only found out the show was on the week before and was pretty stoked up at the prospect.

4. Edvard Moonke: Soliloquy

To blog or not to blog, that is the question.
Whether ‘t is nobler in the mind, to suffer
The sticks and stones of caustic comment;
Or to take arms against a sea of trolls,
And with cutting wit, kill them?

5. Girl with a one-track mind: Flash

And as my breathing became shallow and disjointed and I felt like I was going to vomit, he too was out of breath – but his breathlessness was linked to pleasure; he was getting off on my fear.

6. Little Red Boat - Challenge Anna: Challenge two - ‘Buy something from a sex shop’

It was a posh sex shop, obviously, because it was in the respectable pretend-museum-place, thus it wasn’t as scary as the usual black-windowed-smuttery. More of a bootytique, really.

7. Rockpool In The Kitchen: Death and Coincidence

Things took their course. My sister fell into a coma. All day I sat by her side, time slowed to the rate of her painfully slow breath; waiting for each breath; expecting any one to be the last. But on it went, breath after breath after breath.

8. Scaryduck: Sponsor me!

As you know, I am a generous sort of person, who will go out of his way to help his fellow human or small fluffy animal in their hour of need. That is why I have taken it upon myself to take part in this important 100 per cent genuine national charitable event.

9. Stephanie’s Pillowbook: A Punk Romance

On the Sunday the UK Subs were playing at the Music Machine. There was a great buzz about this particular gig and it seemed like everybody was going to be there. Unfortunately I had run out of money. I reluctantly decided to return to Guildford. As I walked into the tube station a man passed me and then stepped back. “You have the face of an angel”, he said. Naturally, I asked him for the fare for the tube train.

Wow, it’s a strong field this week. I don’t envy the judges!
