Nothing like a summer cold, huh?
I laughed. And sneezed.

It’s very long, a lot of it’s about music, and the lack of surrounding context may be problematic for the first time reader - but I still think it’s an eminently suitable candidate for POTW.
The Church Of Me: WISDOM. Rebirth from Streatham to Hampton Court, Sunday 8 April 2007.
This isn’t a proper nomination but Sal’s Venn diagrams of songs are so fabulous you have to check them out, if you haven’t already.

little.red.boat: Challenge Anna (the thirtieth birthday countdown): Challenge One.
Who says you can’t earn serious money from blogging? Better than a whole year’s worth of ads! Stick that in yer pipes, “pro-bloggers”!
“What’s in a name” by Zinnia: http://realefun.blogspot.com/2.....-name.html
Big Ass Belle: piano music.
Some of the most consistently amazing writing I find to read on the internet is on Pandemian, and latest entry Steganography shows why. Thought-provoking, witty, human feeling, brilliant observation and, of course, an aside displaying continued irritation with many aspects of bloggers and blogging. Essential reading.
Oh no, this is going to look like such a stitch-up, but I swear I didn’t know GG had nominated my post until I came over here just now to nominate hers: http://sapodilla.blogspot.com/.....child.html (thanks, GG - x)

Reluctant Nomad: Father and son stuff - cool or uncool?
A thought-provoking meditation on generational boundaries. Don’t forget to click the “Read more” link.
There is so much overly serious, worthy, self-important claptrap written about Twitter that it was refreshing to read Cheerful One’s reasoning as to why she his twittered her last and closed her account. It’s good to hear someone speaking the truth without disappearing up their own Web Two Point Oh.
You say potato.
Tired Dad: “Work”.
I’m a writer, I know dialogue and that’s funny.
(When Harry Met Sally.)
(Paraphrase.)
(Please shoot me.)

I love the way some people not only nominate, but start plugging as well. Shurely they’ll get read by the shortlister anyway? And if they’re shortlisted, then I presume the judges will read them…
(Sorry. I should stay in more.)
Reactionary Rhapsody: Classic FM
I love a good rant me, especially when I agree with it!
Peter: On my off-duty weeks, I quite like the supporting plugs, as they help me decide whether or not to click on the links. They also make the exercise rather less dry than it otherwise would be - a bare list of URLs would somehow be less fun.
Oh that’s just me, and my innate desire not to go unnoticed. (I was utterly sober, btw, despite the time of day.) I would nominate more posts, but the three I’ve done (maybe 2, but never let the truth etc.) didn’t make the shortlists. I’m feeling out of tune with the vibe. My bus pass has separated me from the hip young blogosphere. Not so much Web 2.0 as minus a half.
I’m going to second the nomination for Tired Dad. That actually made me cry with laughter in the office.
Peter, please keep posting. It’s much more fun from everyone’s perspective to get a peek at more new blogs!
As for yours not getting shortlisted, every week is different–different field of contenders, different shortlister, etc.
hanging on the end of the phone with an unreliable witness. i really hope he gets through, dont you? clicks and buzzes.
