   I nominate “Pedigree Glum” by Anna, because it is funny and entertaining and well-written and she did it despite being miserable.

   And I nominate “Huge Rage” by Zinnia, because it’s erudite and heartfelt.

I came here specifically to nominate (this post) specifically because the site said deadline was Friday, and it’s still Friday, only to find nominations are closed, even though, as previously pointed out, it’s still Friday.

    On the shortlister’s guidelines, it says “On Friday night or Saturday morning (UK time) – whatever suits you best - add a comment to the nominations box, which says NOMINATIONS FOR THIS WEEK ARE NOW CLOSED.”

    However, as I don’t have the password to log in and close the comments (I’ve emailed Mike about that one) I’ll allow the nominations that’ve been added up ’til now.

    There, everyone happy? Good.

    As mike as said, we are early days with this. It’s supposed to be a fun thing so let’s not get too carried away.

    And they aren’t Rules, more.. guidelines. ;-)

    I’ll investigate some way of auto-closing comments on shortlist posts when it hits midnight - how does that sound?
