February 11th, 2008

This week’s winner has a larger than life ability to convey the funny in almost everything he touches. I give you,

Smaller than Life: It Might As Well Rain Until September.
From smug to mugs in one fell swoop. (read more…)

nominated by The Girl

Our Judges said:

A fretful dad deciding the characteristics of their just born and unborn babies based on an excel spreadsheet, some bad childhood memories and a calendar? That makes perfect sense. I’m off to do mine now!

A brilliant example of taking a tiny, split second thought and turning it into a hilarious post.

This explains why all the youngest kids in my class were 2nd born, though those calculations must have taken hours on an abacus.

Having children forces you to do accounts in a spreadsheet? Yet more reasons not to breed.

This week’s team was made up by mike on shortlisting duties, and the international judging squad of Hall of Fame judge, anna, past winner Missy M, Cathy, Toni,Sarah R, and moi, asta.

Did you see the BAFTAS or the Grammys and wish you had a vote? Well you can here. Click and discover the power. I’m feeling all Yodaish now.

    That’s great, thank you!

Er, is there some kind of cash prize that could go towards #2’s childcare? Otherwise we will have to rely on the local wolves to bring him/her up.

  2. Zinnia Cyclamen

Yay! I didn’t manage to do proper voting but I got as far as working out that this would have been my first choice.

  3. SwissToni

a worthy winner… and this coming from a judge who dislikes both children and excel spreadsheets!

Could you leave me out of nominations in future please. It’s a philosophical thing.

We can’t stop anyone nominating, that might defeat the object of POTW, however, if you nominate something and/or are nominated youself, but then want to remove it, we can happily do so.
