Call for nominations.
Previous Nominations : Feed
December 31st, 2007

If you have a post you want to nominate, please leave a link in the comments below.
The deadline for nominations is Friday January 11th, and the rules of the game are just a click away.

Regular readers will also note the introduction of a Post of the Week “Hall of Fame“. This honour is bestowed upon blogs who have been shortlisted five times or more, and who have also won Post of the Week on at least one occasion. There’s one catch, though: in order to keep the site fresh, members of the Hall of Fame are no longer eligible to be shortlisted.

As always, we are keen to recruit new volunteers for our editorial team. If you fancy helping us out on a regular basis - or even just on a one-off basis - take a look at what’s involved and get in touch.

OK, let’s get the ball rolling with Smaller Than Life: All I Want for Christmas…

  2. Alex G Dewitt

I think this post is great writing, and captures both the good and bad sides of New Year’s.

And I’ll put forward the first nomination made knowing the post really won’t qualify for the shortlist, because the best part is the accompanying video.
Fourfour with Celine Dion is amazing.

1904 - The Year Everything Important Happened

It’s a great blog from a talented writer with a strong narrative voice and something to say. Any number of the entries written by George Snyder ought to be picked up by the studios in Hollywood and turned into memorable films.

    This blog is first rate.

  8. M W Nolden

Ok, it’s already nominated, but you need a specific post… Right?

    It is indeed first rate.

When you are truly willing to be in the moment and focus completely you will be rewarded with some amazing literary jewels!

  13. Tom Lamarre

This is a great post, full of lyricism and humour, which actually deals with what’s happening today without flinching. much better than the barrel of a gun if you’re looking for straight shooting.

  14. SwissToni

Andrew Collins - The Manners Manifesto. Because I’m naturally a pessimist and a cynic, but reading his made me feel a bit better about 2008.

    A bit better.
